As a Senior Pharmacy Technician, you will perform a wide range of routine and complex pharmaceutical duties in support of pharmacy operations. Assume a lead role among support staff within the pharmacy. Relieves the Pharmacist of duties related to the intake of new prescription information and the handling of Schedule II controlled substances per MA Board of Pharmacy regulations. Location: 36 Shops at 5 Way Plymouth, MA 02360Department: PharmacySchedule: Full time, 40 hours/week. Will be working an 8-hr shift during Site Operating Hours of: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 8:00pm, with rotating Saturday/Sunday rotation 9:00am - 5:00pmPrimary Responsibilities:Support pharmacists by processing prescriptions, entering data, and preparing medications including compounding and labelingDeliver excellent customer service during medication pick-up, payment processing, and counseling offersManage inventory, receive and inspect shipments, price and store medications, and restock clinical areasAdminister vaccines, report safety events, and contribute to quality improvement and departmental initiativesCollaborate effectively with the pharmacy team, uphold compliance with regulations, and maintain required certificationsMay be required to travel to other sites if neededWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? Required Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED (or higher)Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of MassachusettsNationally Certified Pharmacy Technician through PTCB, CPhT, or NHA or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employmentCertified in Immunization Administration by an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education ("ACPE") accredited training program or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employmentAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experienceAccess to reliable transportationPreferred Qualification:2+ years of experience in a retail pharmacy or outpatient pharmacy setting **PLEASE NOTE** The sign-on bonus is only available to external candidates.
