Pediatric Pulmonology - Academic Faculty Physician

Position Overview We’re seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Pulmonologist to join the Section of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and work at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Brenner Children’s Hospital on the campus of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston‑Salem, North Carolina . Additional fellowship training and board certification or eligibility in Sleep Medicine is desirable but not required. The position offers an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor commensurate with background and credentials. Responsibilities The Pediatric Pulmonary Section cares for a diverse patient population with high acuity and a broad spectrum of pulmonary conditions: Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) Chronic invasive and non‑invasive ventilation needs Neuromuscular respiratory weakness Asthma Cystic fibrosis Aerodigestive disorders Pulmonary hypoplasia and chest wall deformities Pediatric sleep disorders Interstitial lung disease Sickle cell‑related lung disease The section provides comprehensive services including an accredited CF center, multidisciplinary clinics for CF, ventilator dependence, neuromuscular disorders, aerodigestive disorders, sickle cell disease, and pediatric sleep medicine, as well as inpatient and outpatient bronchoscopy and full pulmonary lung function testing capabilities. Strong collaboration with adult pulmonology, pediatric ENT, NICU, PICU, pediatric surgery, and other subspecialties is maintained. Outreach clinics are available in Clemmons and Hickory, North Carolina. Qualifications • Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Pulmonologist. • (Desirable) Fellowship training and board certification or eligibility in Sleep Medicine.
