Travel RN – NICU / Special Care Level 2 Nursery (Nights)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | 2 Weekend Shifts per Month | No Call Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients including full-term, early-term, and pre-term neonates in an 8-bed Special Care Level 2 Nursery
• Manage and treat common neonatal diagnoses including NAS/NOWS, TTN, and administration of IV antibiotics
• Initiate and manage Bubble CPAP and OG/NG feedings as indicated by patient care plans
• Attend deliveries and initiate or lead NRP resuscitation efforts as needed
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using Meditech and GE Centricity EHR systems
• Float to Mother/Baby Postpartum unit as required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 Special Care Nursery or higher-level NICU
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Current STABLE certification
• Current BLS certification
• Travel candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience attending deliveries and independently initiating and running NRP resuscitation
• Familiarity with Meditech and/or GE Centricity EHR platforms
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3 in a neonatal care setting
