Details Post Intervention Cath Unit serving as a step-down from the Cath Lab and overflow from Med-Surg 1:4 patient ratio Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Every other weekend required Requirements Active RN license (AL State or Compact) BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA) Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required Community hospital experience required Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred Experience with sheath removal, TR band, and pre/post cardiac catheterization care preferred Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs required Experience with central line, peripheral line, PICC line care, and blood product administration preferred Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration) required Knowledge of heparin protocols required Experience with pacemakers (temporary/permanent) preferred Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias preferred Experience with rapid response/code teams preferred Wound care/wound vac experience preferred Proper use of isolation precautions/PPE preferred Additional Information Provide cardiac monitoring and step-down level care for post-intervention cath patients Support post cardiac angiogram, post-MI, and post-cardiac surgery patients Assist with cardiac drip management and dysrhythmia monitoring Requested time off limited to a maximum of 7 days Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a lower pay rate Prior permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for this travel position Candidates with a pending license may still be considered American Traveler Job ID P-750956.
