About the Job Nassau Financial Federal Credit Union – Universal Membership Specialist. Oyster Bay, New York. Full-time. $20 – $23 hourly. Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision 401K, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability Paid Time Off, Tuition Reimbursement Role Overview This role will develop and maintain financial relationships with members, identifying member inquiries and providing account resolution and solutions. The position includes remote and in-branch work and focuses on exceeding credit union goals. Accountabilities and Responsibilities Deliver service consistent with our Service Promises. Strive for one‑call resolution and adhere to best practices. Conduct profile assessments for cross‑sell opportunities. Recommend products that meet members’ financial requirements within lending and credit guidelines. Register leads into Synapsys CRM for follow‑up action. Partner with internal departments to resolve member inquiries across all channels. Cross‑sell appropriate products to attain sales goals for checking accounts, loans, and insurance‑related policies. Maintain proficiency in product knowledge through annual certification. Identify member needs, research issues, and provide solutions through effective listening and questioning. Ensure timely response and resolution to member concerns. Process share and consumer loan applications efficiently. Stay current on legal, regulatory, and technological changes affecting lending and internet programs. Provide technical expertise for resolving internet‑related product issues. Communicate with members via email, e‑chat, and mobile banking. Process account inquiries, address changes, account closures, reconciliations, and payroll requests. Modify performance based on management coaching and feedback. Notify management of system issues promptly. Pursue training to enhance expertise. Handle shared banking inquiries and direct members to the nearest shared branch. Comply with Verafin, AML, and OCF requirements. Respond courteously to members’ questions about policies and procedures. In‑Branch Duties Facilitate account opening inquiries and open new accounts. Verify and obtain proper documentation; distribute disclosures by mail or electronically. Conduct interviews to determine financial needs and cross‑sell products. Process IRA openings and complete all necessary documents. Handle member death claims and follow‑up documentation. Perform ITM or peak‑time account transactions such as closures, transfers, check disbursals, and deposits. Maintain daily ITM and coin machine operations; balance and perform maintenance as directed. Other Duties Perform functions related to the ITM Teller when necessary. Possess knowledge in lending and home equities. Work flexible hours, including Saturdays; may be assigned to other branches or departments. Work remotely from home if required. Capture and scan loan documentation. Participate in department meetings, training, promotions, community events, and business development efforts. Perform other duties as assigned.
