The Buyer will provide tactical procurement support focused on purchase order management, supplier follow-up, shortage management, material tracking, and ERP transaction processing. This role will work closely with full-time Buyers and Supply Chain leadership to support purchasing execution activities during a period of rapid company growth.

Responsibilities

• Create, manage, and update purchase orders within the ERP system.
• Review and manage open purchase order reports.
• Follow up with suppliers regarding delivery commitments.
• Track critical materials and expedite shortages.
• Communicate material status updates to Planning, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.
• Support invoice resolution and purchase order closure activities with Finance and Accounting.
• Maintain ERP accuracy and procurement documentation.
• Assist senior buyers with purchasing execution activities.
• Escalate supplier delays and delivery risks.
• Ensure material availability for engineering and production requirements.

• 2+ years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience.
• Manufacturing purchasing experience.
• Experience managing purchase orders from creation through delivery.
• Supplier follow-up and expediting experience.
• Experience working in ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
• Strong supplier relationship management and follow-through.

• Electronics commodity purchasing experience.
• Experience purchasing PCBAs, cable harnesses, sensors, and electromechanical components.
• Experience with MISys ERP.
• Robotics, aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial purchasing experience.

This is a hybrid role based in Salem, OR, requiring a minimum of 3 days onsite. The work environment is fast-paced and involves a collaborative Supply Chain team. Standard business hours are from 7-4 or 8-5.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Salem, OR.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.

This is a hybrid position in Salem,OR.
