Phlebotomist Laboratory Specialty

Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Not specified Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Epic charting experience Description: This is a night shift position with hours from 18:00 to 06:30. The schedule is Friday and Sunday. Travel may be required to other facilities as needed. Traveler will be trained and may float to other campuses. Proof of address within a 75-mile radius is required for submission. Flu vaccine is required with medical or religious exemptions only. National certification in phlebotomy is preferred. Candidates with previous charge experience will be prioritized. Experience in patient care with various age groups is necessary. Aseptic technique and proper specimen handling techniques are essential skills. Candidates should be able to prioritize patient collections based on order requests. Demonstrated ability to identify and respond to emergency situations is required. Proper labeling and disposal of specimens must be followed. Must be familiar with blood culture procedures and standard precautions. Excellent communication and data entry skills are necessary. Submission of a complete work history for the past 7 years is required. References from previous positions must be provided. Candidates must not have any employment gaps greater than 30 days.
