Restaurant Manager

• Lead and actively participate in daily Front of House operations and service
• Oversee the host stand, reservations, events, and guest flow to maximize covers and create a seamless arrival experience
• Maintain a strong presence on the floor and ensure consistent execution of il Buco service and hospitality standards
• Complete 100% table touches during service and actively engage with guests to build relationships and cultivate repeat business
• Set the tone for gracious, professional, and thoughtful hospitality
• Champion the wine and beverage programs through knowledgeable service and intentional upselling
• Monitor guest satisfaction and develop strategies to strengthen customer retention
• Partner with the General Manager to achieve operational, financial, and service goals
• Create and manage weekly schedules while maintaining appropriate staffing levels and budget targets
• Monitor labor, sales, and other key business metrics and communicate goals and performance to the management and chef teams
• Support inventory, ordering, receiving, and other operational systems as needed
• Ensure food, beverage, service, and hospitality standards are consistently executed
• Lead daily line checks and partner with the Back of House team to ensure quality and smooth service
• Oversee cash management, loss prevention, deposits, and safe procedures
• Ensure compliance with all DOH, labor, health, safety, sanitation, and food safety requirements
• Review time punches and address attendance or timekeeping concerns appropriately
• Handle guest and employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a professional and solutions-oriented manner
• Participate in weekly management meetings and contribute to ongoing operational strategy
• Work with managers, lead team members, and trainers to ensure consistent standards across the restaurant
• Floor manage approximately five times per week

• Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training hourly team members
• Train new hires on open-handed service, second-level service, refined dining room etiquette, and il Buco service standards
• Coach and develop team members through ongoing feedback and performance conversations
• Provide corrective feedback and documentation when necessary, in partnership with the General Manager
• Ensure operational and training standards are consistently followed
• Support new company initiatives and communicate expectations clearly to the team
• Identify opportunities for employee growth and development
• Foster a safe, respectful, inclusive, and enriching workplace for all employees

• A minimum of 5 years of restaurant management experience in an upscale to fine dining, high-volume restaurant
• Strong knowledge of fine dining service, food and beverage, and restaurant operations
• A valid Food Handler’s Certification
• Experience managing reservations, staffing, scheduling, inventory, ordering, and other restaurant systems
• Proficiency with POS, reservations, inventory management, payroll, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
• Strong business acumen and an understanding of labor, sales, and restaurant financials
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• A positive, enthusiastic, and collaborative leadership style
• The ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions-oriented under pressure
• A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
• Strong judgment, adaptability, and the ability to think quickly in a constantly changing environment

• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
• Ability to work in a restaurant environment with varying temperatures
• Ability to navigate a fast-paced restaurant environment for extended periods
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through verbal, written, and electronic communication
