Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.What Are We Looking For?The Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) / NDT Level II Inspector is responsible for testing and inspection of structural steel during erection on general building and pipeline sites, as well as occasional plant inspections.Salary & Benefits InformationIn addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation/sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement, and more.What You'll DoPlan and conduct the analysis, inspection, testing, and/or evaluation activities necessary to assure the quality of assigned products or components and accurately record results.Perform visual inspections on welded products for defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, and other discontinuities on both in-progress and completed work.Document data obtained during all quality assurance activities in accordance with company policies and procedures.Communicate significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provide recommendations for process improvements.Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, and micrometers.Minimum Requirements & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentValid driver's license and acceptable driving recordAbility to work off-shift schedules and overtime as neededAWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) CertificationD1.1 Structural Steel and Level II Ultrasonics experienceAbility to read blueprints and understand and interpret tolerancesStrong verbal and written communication skillsComputer proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applicationsPreferred Requirements & QualificationsTechnical degree in Welding Technology or related fieldConstruction Materials Testing (CMT) experienceIntertek: Total Quality.
