The successful candidate is responsible for setting and adhering to the maintenance budget, forecasting future facility needs of equipment replacement, repair, upgrades to buildings, & new construction, and supervising a team of four. The position assures compliance with all federal and state laws, codes, regulations, and OSHA standards. Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks are just a scenic drive away, making Riverton an ideal home base for those who love Wyoming's outdoor lifestyle.Human Resource Contact: View email address on click.appcast.io | 307-857-3326Essential Functions: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.Manages a staff of subordinate supervisors and trades technicians who perform daily and long-range maintenance tasks related to HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.Manages facility construction projects performed by Wyoming Department of Corrections maintenance staff or contracted vendors.Schedules projects and allocates resources.Prepares annual maintenance budgets.Provides project cost estimates.Writes services contracts and oversees contract services.Works closely with engineers and architects on design criteria for building construction and renovation projects.Ensures that project designs integrate into existing systems.Oversees funding and allocation of funds for projects to ensure appropriate funding to approved construction projects.Assists in the completion of facility work orders.Ensures the safety and security of the prison is maintained through tool control and best practices.Works with and oversees programs with outside entities for the facility's Sage Brush Project, and Dog Program.Oversees the facility's Vehicle Motor Pool.Works closely with all department heads, especially Agriculture and Security.Oversees overall Facility appearance and maintenance.Responsible for adhering to procurement policies and procedures while completing and managing all required purchasing documentation.
