Job TitleDynamic Work Schedule - This is 5 days on site a month- in the same week then the remainder of the month is working from home. A strong understanding and experience working with automated deployment orchestration tools such as Terraform, Concourse, Jenkins, and uDeploy. 60/40 split (can be heavier on the front-end or back-end, but please specify in write-up) Nice-to-have skills: Python, shell scripting/bashThe RoleIn this role, the candidate will work alongside team members in managing the infrastructure within the Capital Markets, Fixed Income business unit of Fidelity. The infrastructure includes both on-premise virtual compute resources, as well as public cloud provider infrastructure such as AWS and Azure. The ideal candidate has a strong desire to learn new cloud technologies and is driven toward continuously improving and expanding skills.The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about and possess experience with DevOps automated pipelines necessary for deployment of infrastructure and applications. Primary responsibilities include developing new, automated pipelines to transition away from Concourse-driven pipelines to Terraform using Jenkins as the orchestrator, while building out infrastructure that is within Fidelity’s cloud guardrails.The secondary responsibilities include maintaining existing infrastructure, such as, tracking and updating expiring certificates, creating and upgrading virtual compute resources, managing / remediating known software vulnerabilities within the infrastructure, and being familiar with Technology Lifecycle Management (i.e., TLM) concepts.The Expertise and Skills You BringFamiliarity with Agile and DevOps practices is desirableAt least 3 years’ experience with AWS is preferred with familiarity of CFN, EC2, ALB/ELB, EBS, EKS, ECS, S3, KMS, IAM, LambdaA strong understanding and experience working with automated deployment orchestration tools such as Terraform, Concourse, Jenkins, and uDeploy.Ability to take initiative and drive to a solution.Solid knowledge of Linux / Windows infrastructureA strong understanding of Network Protocol StackA good working understanding of Certificates and SSL/TLSExperience writing / developing scripts & tools necessary to perform deployments. Experience with bash and/or Python with a software development background is a strong plus.The TeamOur team works all aspects of building and maintaining infrastructure and plays a large part in this migration to public CSPs. Not only do we manage the infrastructure, but we are also responsible for building automated pipelines, which allow for repeatable deployment processes for both infrastructure and applications. This role will augment our existing team by expanding our capacity to build and manage Fidelity’s infrastructure within Capital Markets. As Capital Markets continues to grow our infrastructure, this team will continuously innovate to migrate many on-premise applications to public cloud providers such as AWS.
