Respiratory Therapist RRT - Respiratory Therapy, Full Time, Nights

Memorial Health, a leading healthcare provider in Savannah, Georgia, is seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to a diverse patient population, from adult and geriatric to select high-acuity and critical care patients, in a fast-paced hospital environment. You will perform comprehensive respiratory assessments, develop and implement individualized therapy plans, and collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team to support optimal patient outcomes.

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Memorial Health, you will initiate and manage mechanical and non-invasive ventilation; administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy; and perform procedures such as arterial blood gas sampling and basic pulmonary function testing. You will be an active responder to respiratory emergencies, including codes and rapid response events, providing airway management and life-support interventions following established protocols and best practices. Accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record and clear communication of clinical findings are essential aspects of this position.

You will also play a key role in educating patients and families on respiratory conditions, inhaler and equipment use, and home-care strategies to support safe discharge and long-term disease management. The position requires a strong commitment to infection prevention, safe equipment operation, and adherence to hospital and regulatory standards. You will participate in ongoing competency assessments, in-service education, and quality improvement initiatives that reflect Memorial Health’s focus on evidence-based, patient-centered care.
