Senior Real Estate Coordinator

Overview This position focuses on managing the City’s land bank program, overseeing property security and maintenance at key redevelopment sites, and guiding the compliance team on project agreement requirements. The role provides creative solutions to compliance and real estate issues, manages the Real Estate website and public information requests, and serves as the primary manager of the department’s property management and listing software suite. Position Responsibilities Coordinate with the Principal Program Manager and the REBR Division Administrator to recommend process improvements, implement policies related to acquisition, disposition, and maintenance of DMD-owned properties, maintain relationships with stakeholders and vendors, and prepare materials for land bank review committee meetings. Key Responsibilities Make recommendations related to process improvement. Interpret and implement policy and strategies for acquisition, disposition, and maintenance of DMD-owned properties. Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and vendors. Prepare materials and set agendas for land bank review committee meetings. Maintain a regular presence at critical redevelopment sites and land bank lots, including weekly site visits and meetings with vendors. Respond to maintenance requests and ensure properties are maintained at the highest quality level. Serve as an emergency contact for the Vacant to Vibrant land bank and other DMD-owned properties; may include nights or weekends. Assist with the preparation of real estate project agreements, deeds, leases, and related documents. Support the REBR Division with public information requests. Evaluate and recommend emergency repairs and preventive maintenance, including cost and timeline estimates. Recommend changes to property pricing, policies, and procedures related to Vacant to Vibrant and other DMD-owned properties. Manage land bank property management, listing applications, and real estate program web pages. Perform additional duties as necessary. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Construction Management, Public Administration, or related field. Minimum of two (2) years of direct work experience in a related field; education and experience may be substituted. Government experience preferred. Strong communication, writing, and listening skills; attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple complex tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines. Must be able to attend meetings and work outside the office, including challenging physical environments. Valid Indiana operator/driver license required. Prior work in property or project management strongly preferred. Computer literacy required; proficiency in GIS and Microsoft Office strongly preferred. Working Conditions Essential functions are regularly performed in an office setting; some work can be completed remotely. Meetings and site visits will be required for various initiatives and at DMD-owned properties and public spaces. Physical Conditions Sitting at a desk the majority of the day. Some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5–10) pounds. Tasks may involve extended periods at a keyboard or workstation. Tasks require the ability to perceive and hear sounds and see visual cues or signals. Tasks require the ability to communicate orally. #J-18808-Ljbffr
