OTR Flatbed Company driver (W-2) Job in West Des Moines, IA by HMD Trucking
$1,505 - $2,175 per weekFull-time
HMD Trucking
Requirements - 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- 6 months of flatbed experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying
Benefits

- CPM $0.70 base + $0.10 CPM safety/productivity bonus
- Home time: 2 weeks out, 2 nights home

- Empty Miles: Paid at the same CPM as loaded miles (company drivers only)
- Extra Stops: $50 per additional stop
- Detention Pay: $25 per hour after the first 2 hours
- Layover Pay: $175 for every 24 hours
- Orientation Pay: $150
Vacancy description
Drive nationwide flatbed routes from West Des Moines, IA with HMD Trucking.
Operate top-tier equipment across our 500+ vehicle network—APUs, inverters, sleeper cabs, removable rider seats, and full maintenance support.
Role Overview:
- Safely deliver flatbed freight coast to coast
- Load, secure, tarp, and inspect each shipment
- Comply with all Hours-of-Service rules
Driver Benefits:
- Base pay of $0.70/mile plus $0.10 safety/productivity bonus
- $5,000 sign-on bonus
- Home time, health, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k)
Requirements: Class A CDL and 12+ months of OTR flatbed experience.
