Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification or degree in Histology or a related laboratory science field
• Previous experience in histology, including sample preparation, sectioning, staining, and slide review
• Proficiency in laboratory protocols, safety standards, and quality control
• Familiarity with histology laboratory equipment and reagents
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Full-time hours (specific schedule to be discussed during the hiring process)

• Prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination following established laboratory guidelines
• Perform embedding, microtomy, staining, and cover-slipping procedures accurately and efficiently
• Label, organize, and track specimens to ensure proper identification and documentation
• Operate and maintain histology equipment, troubleshooting minor issues as needed
• Uphold laboratory safety standards and ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols
• Collaborate closely with pathologists and other laboratory staff to facilitate rapid and accurate diagnoses
• Participate in laboratory inventory management and routine equipment calibration
