Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Amerhart is currently hiring for 2nd Shift Material Handlers in our Green Bay - Amerhart facility. The primary responsibility of this position is to perform all duties associated with shipping, receiving, and stocking warehouse material. As a member of the Operations team, offering to help others when the workload demands, treating teammates with respect and care and performing work in a safe manner according to safety policies and procedures is critical. Pay Rate of $21.25/hour + $1.50/hour (Shift differential pay) = $22.75/hour.

2nd Shift training schedule is as follows:

• 1st 2 months of training: 7:30am CST - Finished
• Months 2-3 of training: Noon - 8pm CST
• Fully Trained (After 3 months): 4pm - Midnight CST (last truck loaded)

Essential functions include:

• Load outgoing trucks for the following day in an efficient manner.
• Focus on safety while ensuring the customer receives correct material in quality condition.
• Pick orders using a forklift until the order is completely filled.
• Unload common carrier trucks and railroad cars and replenish product in the designated location in the warehouse.
• Report any problems such as shortages or damaged material, etc.
• Inquire with sales team member when orders cannot be shipped as ordered and make changes as directed by sales.
• Use handheld scanner when receiving product, picking orders, loading trucks and cycle counting in accordance with Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes.
• Collaborate with Warehouse Management System (WMS) Coordinator on questions and updates.
• Band, wrap and prepare material for safe shipping.
• Arrange orders on trucks according to safe weight distribution practices.
• Follow safety procedures and policies when performing warehouse duties.
• Performance of Miscellaneous Functions Fill orders for incoming customers.
• Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning warehouses/yard.
• Inspect the forklift prior to daily operation to avoid equipment problems and malfunctions in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Cross train and back-up others in warehouse.

• Working knowledge and techniques associated with organizing and setting priorities.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• 1-2 years of forklift driving experience required with some experience in a distributorship preferred.
• Neat and clean appearance.
• Proven ability to work as a member of a team.
