Job Overview:
The Product Owner is responsible for driving the successful delivery of data and analytics products by serving as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and data engineering teams. This role owns the product backlog, translates business needs into actionable requirements, and ensures solutions deliver measurable business value. The Product Owner plays a critical role throughout the product lifecycle, from requirements gathering and prioritization to production deployment and post-deployment validation.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs, define priorities, and develop a clear product roadmap.
• Gather, document, and refine business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog to ensure delivery teams focus on the highest-value initiatives.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between business and IT teams, facilitating communication and alignment throughout the development lifecycle.
• Coordinate with data engineering and IT teams to support the design, development, and productionization of data products.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
• Monitor project progress, proactively communicate status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and leadership.
• Review and validate delivered solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and quality standards.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and data validation efforts prior to production deployment.
• Partner with business users to ensure data products, dashboards, and reporting solutions are ready for operational use.
• Continuously gather feedback and identify opportunities for product enhancements and process improvements.
• Drive stakeholder alignment and help remove roadblocks that may impact delivery timelines.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role.
• Strong experience in data engineering and analytics.
• Proficiency in building reports and dashboards.
• Experience in the airline domain is highly preferred.
• Expertise in data validation and prioritization.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in SQL is a plus.

Pay Range: $50.00/hr - $54.00/hr

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
