Hematology/Oncology Physician – UVA HealthLocations: Culpeper, Gainesville, Haymarket & Manassas, VAAbout the OpportunityUVA Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist to join our expanding UVA Community Health Cancer Service Line in Northern Virginia. Based primarily at UVA Culpeper Medical Center and UVA Gainesville Cancer Center, this position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality hematology and oncology care across multiple community locations, supported by the strength of the University of Virginia's academic medical center.This is a growth position designed to meet the increasing demand for advanced cancer care in Northern Virginia.Practice HighlightsPractice Setting: Outpatient, hospital-based, single-specialty groupSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM (flexible 4-day workweek available)Call: 1:6, providing nightly and weekend cross-coverage for UVA Culpeper, Prince William, and Haymarket Medical CentersClinical Volume: 15–20 clinic patients per day; average annual wRVUs ~5,500Case Mix: 50% oncology / 50% hematologyHospital Census: Average 0–2 patients daily when roundingProcedures: Bone marrow biopsies (approx. 20 per year)Virtual Health: Telemedicine and virtual consults integrated into practiceSupport Team: Advanced Practice Clinicians (consult only), plus robust ancillary support including nutrition, social work, chaplaincy, smoking cessation, and patient advocacy servicesTeaching Opportunities: Engagement with UVA Hematology/Oncology fellows (0–2 per year rotate through)QualificationsMD/DO with Board Certification in Hematology and OncologyEligible for medical licensure in VirginiaStrong interest in delivering state-of-the-art cancer care in community settingsCommitment to UVA's mission of patient-centered, academically integrated careWhy Join UVA Health?Academic Connection: Direct access to UVA's clinical trials, tumor boards, and subspecialty expertiseCommunity Impact: Extend UVA's nationally recognized cancer care to Northern Virginia communitiesCollaboration: Join a collegial, supportive team of physicians, APPs, and oncology staffComprehensive Benefits: Competitive compensation and benefits, CME, relocation assistance, and retirement plansThe base compensation range for this role is $434,001 - $671,007 for a 1.0 clinical FTE status.Individual compensation will be determined by fair market value and the selected candidate's qualifications, clinical experience, specialty training, credentials, and/or education. Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs, such as productivity, quality, non-productivity, or other incentives that may be available for eligible positions.
