Registered Nurse- Operating Room

WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join an outpatient surgical team. This position is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery environment and is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care throughout the surgical process.

Schedule

• Full-Time
• 4 Days per Week
• Monday–Friday
• 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• No nights, weekends, or major holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a state-of-the-art orthopedic surgery center.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients.
• Prepare patients for operative procedures and provide preoperative education.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and fellow nurses to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients and families regarding postoperative instructions and recovery expectations.
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Active Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required.
• Previous experience in Orthopedics, Operating Room, PACU, Ambulatory Surgery, Surgical Services, or Acute Care preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, patient-focused surgical environment.
