More about our team Radiology/Imaging Services unit provides high‑quality diagnostic and interventional imaging services, including a wide range of medical imaging procedures such as X‑rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other imaging techniques. We value and ensure patient care, comfort, safety, and adherence to imaging protocols while collaborating with healthcare professionals, quality control teams, and adopting new technologies. Maintaining quality control measures for equipment and processes, adhering to strict safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards are key functions. How you’ll contribute Positions, transfers, and properly immobilizes radiology patients as required. Selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis. Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards. Follows safety procedures and guidelines and reports unsafe practices or conditions. Applies technical knowledge and skills necessary to maintain procedural quality standards. Maintains effective and efficient use of reagents, chemicals, and supplies. Provides accurate training to employees having less experience. Reviews patient orders ensuring appropriate studies are ordered and performed per insurance specifications and diagnosis. Responds to inquiries regarding CT scans, procedures, and processes. Prepares patient for intravenous contrast by inserting angiocaths. Assists radiologist during fluoroscopy procedures. Prepares room and patients for procedures as needed. Performs all computerized axial tomographic examinations and image manipulation/post‑processing functions, implementing software capabilities required by radiologist/departmental policy or protocol. Skillfully operates the computed tomography unit including hardware and software to assure optimal scanning results, maximizes equipment utilization during warm‑up and shutdown procedures, and provides proper documentation. Performs filming, reconstruction of proper images and studies requiring 3‑D imaging. Creates CDs when necessary. Assists in developing and updating protocols per company changes. Uses TeraRecon on all CTA exams. Performs/supports process for ACR accreditation by conducting proper testing and submitting results. Performs routine procedures on the PACS. Performs daily quality control on the CT scan. Assists with coordinating preventive maintenance and other services on equipment. Reports any problems to service engineers as needed. Follows all safety procedures, including radiation safety, and reports unsafe practices and conditions. Consistently and appropriately follows Universal Precautions. Maintains adequate supplies and ensures store orders are completed weekly. Maintains professional skills and provides age‑specific needs to patients of all ages (neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, and geriatrics). Participates in ongoing education, including annual training and Image Gently ® and Image Wisely ® campaigns. Performs duties associated with the EMR/Radiant. Acts as part of the trauma/stroke teams. Attends staff meetings. Maintains appropriate commitment to the department schedule in terms of attendance and hours of work. Performs calibrations, quality control, instrument function verification and minor troubleshooting according to the procedure manual. Tentatively interacts courtesy and professionally with patients, physicians, nurses, and other hospital personnel using our high‑five guiding principles. Identifies patients using at least two patient identifiers. Maintains confidentiality regarding patient and employee information. Provides appropriate care to patients of all ages (neonates to geriatrics). Completes annual Radiation Safety training. Assists in performing first aid and CPR. What we’re looking for Applicants should be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additional requirements include: ARRT Registered or registry and registered within 3 months of hire date. BCLS certification.
