ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

This position follows a structured clinical interview process, ensuring that candidates receive timely communication and feedback regarding their application. Candidates can expect to be contacted within two hours, typically receiving decisions by the end of the same day or by the next business day.

The Registered Nurse delivers exceptional patient care through the application of the nursing process and works collaboratively with a healthcare team to uphold the standards of professional nursing practice. The role involves carrying out responsibilities in line with hospital policies, the mission of care, and established regulatory guidelines. The RN is responsible for directing, coordinating, and delegating activities to provide patient- and family-centered care.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients.
• Plan and implement nursing care that addresses the unique needs of patients and their families.
• Make informed interventions based on individual patient requirements.
• Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions and adjust care as necessary.
• Assume responsibility for the quality of patient care, overall patient satisfaction, and personal professional development.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing.
• Completion of at least one travel assignment is required.
• Experience primarily in ICU is required; floating to CVICU is preferred.
• Current ACLS certification is mandatory.
• Active Michigan nursing license is required at the time of application submission.

Important Policies:

A strict attendance policy will be enforced to prioritize patient care. Any Registered Nurse contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or arrives more than 20 minutes late for three shifts will be terminated immediately. Exceptions will be considered for documented situations such as illness or hospitalization.

Certification Requirements:

• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• ACLS certification (AHA)
