Location: 6550 WA-14 Bingen, WA 98605

Direct Supervisor: Production Manager, Lead

Schedule: 6:00am - 4:30pm; 30-min Lunch; 4 days a week. Rotate days on and off based on an ABC schedule. Overtime as needed. 7 days a week up to 10 hours a day during Cherry season (approx. June-July) at Dallesport in a similar position.

Compensation: Training Wage - $16.91/hr; Base Wage- $17.20/hr

Other Compensation: Discretionary Bonuses

Position Summary:

Do you play sports? Do you enjoy physical labor? This may be the position for you. We are seeking hardworking and task oriented people with some organizational skill to work at our Bingen location. As a full Box Stacker you will work with a team to stack boxes on pallets and prepare them for transport. This is a physical job with lots of repetition involved. The person in this position will work in a cold environment and must bring winter weather wear.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Stacks Boxes full of fruit according to variety and grade
• Ensures the integrity of fruit and box is not compromised
• Ensure box quality and integrity as well as the integrity of the pallet before transport
• Ensure boxes are stacked in the correct pattern, tightly, and to the correct height
• Ensures boxes are scanned
• Stacks boxes according to the training provided so that boxes are neatly stacked and no unnecessary damage is done to the fruit or box
• Fixes poorly stacked pallets
• Pick up and lay down empty pallets
• Coordinates with other Box Stackers and Forklift Drivers
• Identify label and appropriate pallet for placement
• Unstack full boxes from pallet
• Cut open boxes using safety box cutter
• Dump boxes onto sorting line or place box on sorting table
• Communicates problems with Management and Leads
• Practices ergonomics and safe lifting practices at all times
• Uses designated doors
• Wears proper PPE
• Must properly clock in/out as defined and instructed
• Adhere to good manufacturing practices, personal and work area hygiene & food safety standards and requirements
• Work diligently and cautiously to ensure proper handling of products and maintain production rate
• Work as a team with coworkers and follow routine rotations as directed
• Train others as needed

Work Environment/Physical Requirements :

• Must be able to lift 25 - 35 pound on a continuous basis
• Must be able to lift 25 - 35 pounds overhead on a frequent basis
• Work in cold temperatures;33-35 Degrees Fahrenheit
• Stand on feet for long periods of time (Up to three hours at a time)
• Must be able to stack pallets 6 feet or higher on top of the pallet
• Use of both hands to complete tasks
• Must be able to work inside a packing facility
• Visual acuity and reading of labels

Experience/Education:

• Production or packing experience preferred
• HS Diploma/GED preferred
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
