As a ServiceNow Developer within Entergy's Operational Governance team, you will provide IT services to internal customers as well as deliver ongoing support for ServiceNow-based software solutions. This role provides the opportunity to engage in the full application lifecycle as part of a scrum team. You will design, develop, and support solutions on the Now platform that supports Entergy's core IT processes.
Job duties/responsibilities include:
- Develop application features with configuration and custom code development.
- Develop agentic solutions on the ServiceNow platform - using native ServiceNow AI tools and integrations with third-party platforms.
- Assist in the coordination of any changes, upgrades and testing with support providers for external integrations and systems.
- Participate in peer reviews for application changes.
- Participate in scrum ceremonies such as refinement, demo, and release planning.
- Create workflows and build service requests based on customers' specifications.
- Use scripting tools and ServiceNow functionalities to automate rote tasks.
- Perform system and integration testing; and monitor health, usage, and overall compliance within the application.
- Generate reports as needed.
- Support the daily operations of our ServiceNow core platform and all modules in use - includes monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization, and security compliance.
Minimum requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, business administration, or other technical area of study OR equivalent work experience; advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years working as a software developer for an enterprise platform.
- Solid analytic and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid familiarity with AI systems and architectures.
- Proven experience working with Agile development teams.
- Experience with JavaScript is required.
- Familiarity with software development and design methodologies.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities include:
- Prior ServiceNow experience.
- Prior experience developing AI systems.
- Understanding of enterprise system design patterns and best practices.
- Understanding of design thinking techniques including Personas, Journey Maps, and Business Model Canvas.
Any ServiceNow, Certified Agile Product Owner, AI, or ITIL certifications are a plus.
