Commercial Construction Project Manager

Role Description The Commercial Construction Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Starkville, MS. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. Day-to-day tasks include managing schedules, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, monitoring site activities, and ensuring work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards. The role involves developing and tracking project budgets, preparing progress reports, facilitating onsite meetings, and resolving issues that may impact timelines or costs. The Project Manager will also collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to maintain clear communication and deliver successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Project Management and Construction Project Management skills for overseeing commercial projects from start to finish.
• Candidates should possess Construction Management and Project Coordination skills for supervising field operations and aligning stakeholders and resources.
• Candidates should possess Budgeting skills for managing costs, reviewing estimates, and monitoring financial performance.
• Relevant skills such as knowledge of building codes and safety regulations, proficiency with project management software, and ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans are beneficial.
• Additional qualifications such as prior commercial construction experience, strong communication and leadership abilities, and a valid driver’s license are preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in building construction science, construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in commercial construction project leadership, is beneficial.

Computer/Technology Requirements:

· Proficient in the use of personal computers including iPad/tablet devices

· Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and related construction software

· Basic knowledge of uploading and managing web-based document storage

· Understanding and basic knowledge of PROCORE

Work Hours/Benefits:

· Full-Time 40 – 50-hour work week
