Registered Nurse IR/Special Procedures

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing radiology procedures, primarily focusing on IV sedation and patient monitoring. Ensures patient safety and comfort throughout radiology interventions, collaborating closely with radiology teams.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer IV sedation and monitor patient vital signs during radiology procedures.
  
  
• 
  Assess patient condition and respond promptly to any changes or complications.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and procedural details.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards in all patient interactions.
  
  
• 
  Provide post-procedure care and patient education as needed.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience within radiology, ICU, ER, or PACU settings.
  
  
• 
  Possess active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate experience in IV sedation and patient monitoring during radiological procedures preferred.
  
  
• 
  Have strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  
  
• 
  Be available to work scheduled hours and holiday requirements as specified.
