Senior Operating Room Assistant

Senior Operating Room Assistant Providence Portland Medical Center. This posting represents 0.01 FTE, Full Time, Day position (Variable days, evenings 8, 10, 12 hr shifts) No more than 40 hrs a week. The Senior Operating Room Assistant (OR Core Tech or Set‑Up Technician) retrieves and assembles (picks) all necessary supplies and equipment for each surgery procedure. Monitors instrument and supply levels in the sterile supply areas. They also coordinate the location of supplies in the sterile supply area; collaborate with materials management to address shortages, assist in cleaning and preparing operating rooms; safely transport patients; retrieve, decontaminate instrumentation, deliver equipment; process and maintain equipment and instruments; may assist with opening supplies before surgery.
