Work Setting: In-person at partner schools and community-based locations
Schedule: Part-time; typically 1–4 instructional hours per week
Typical Program Length: Approximately 8–10 weeks per assignment
Start Dates: Rolling opportunities throughout the school year based on partner schedules
Compensation: Most assignments fall between $50–$65 per instructional hour , although rates vary by assignment. The applicable compensation range for the specific opportunity and geographic location is provided in the posting and/or assignment details.

Concorde Education partners with schools and community organizations to provide engaging enrichment experiences for elementary, middle, and high school students.

We are expanding our network of instructors with backgrounds in education, technology, STEM, the arts, athletics, academics, skilled professions, and other specialty areas for current and upcoming independent contractor instructional assignments.

Traditional classroom teaching experience is not required for every program. We welcome applicants whose experience may come from teaching, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, professional practice, camps, youth organizations, private instruction, or other relevant settings.

Opportunities vary throughout the year and are offered based on school-partner needs, instructor qualifications, subject expertise, geographic location, and scheduling availability.

Types of Programs

Our school partners request instructors across a broad range of enrichment subjects, including:

STEM, engineering, science, and design challenges

Coding, robotics, artificial intelligence, and technology

Digital art, animation, photography, graphic design, and video production

Fine arts, music, dance, theater, and creative expression

Chess, strategy games, tabletop games, and academic enrichment

Cooking, household science, entrepreneurship, and career exploration

Sports, fitness, yoga, movement, and wellness

Tutoring, literacy, study skills, and other academic-support programs

Additional specialty programs based on school and community interests

Assignment requirements vary. Grade level, student enrollment, schedule, program duration, curriculum, instructional expectations, and subject matter may differ from one assignment to another.

What Instructors Do

Depending on the assignment, instructors may:

Deliver engaging, age-appropriate enrichment instruction

Prepare for instructional sessions using provided curriculum, approved lesson plans, or appropriate instructor-developed activities

Create a positive, respectful, inclusive, and appropriately supervised learning environment

Encourage participation and adapt instruction to students with different ages, abilities, and experience levels

Maintain appropriate classroom management and student supervision

Communicate professionally with designated school personnel and Concorde Education representatives regarding attendance, scheduling, and program needs

Follow applicable school policies, site procedures, safety expectations, and emergency protocols

Arrive prepared and on time for all accepted instructional sessions

Instructor Qualifications

Qualified applicants generally have a combination of relevant subject knowledge, experience working with young people, and strong professional skills.

Qualifications may include:

At least 60 completed college credits, or equivalent relevant professional experience when appropriate for the assignment

Experience teaching, coaching, tutoring, instructing, mentoring, or leading youth programs

Experience working with children or adolescents in schools, camps, community organizations, athletic programs, private instruction, or similar environments

Strong communication, leadership, and group-management skills

Dependable, organized, and professional work habits

Knowledge, training, education, or professional experience relevant to one or more enrichment subjects

Curriculum & Instructional Resources

Program resources vary by assignment.

Some assignments include established curriculum, lesson plans, materials, or specific learning objectives. Others provide instructors with greater flexibility to incorporate their professional expertise and age-appropriate activities while meeting established program objectives and school expectations.

Available resources and instructional expectations are communicated as part of the assignment process.

Compensation

Compensation is established individually for each assignment.

Most instructional assignments fall between $50 and $65 per instructional hour. Rates for particular assignments may differ based on factors including subject area, specialized expertise, instructor qualifications and relevant experience, geographic location, scheduling requirements, program complexity, and school-partner needs.

The applicable compensation information for an assignment is communicated before assignment acceptance.
