• Unit Size: 18 LDRP beds, 5 OB Triage beds, 2 OB ORs
• Average Deliveries: 40–65 deliveries per month
• EMR: Epic
• Teaching Hospital: Affiliated with Community Schools of Nursing
• Stroke Accreditation: TJC Stroke Accredited
• Radius Rule: Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from facility
• Floating Required: Yes, within Region 2 facilities and scope of practice
• Orientation: 2 days facility orientation + department orientation
• Holiday Requirement: Work 75% of holidays
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience
• Experience in all aspects of Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum care
• Cesarean Section circulating experience
• Newborn care experience including:
  • Heel sticks
  • 24-hour newborn testing
  • NAS scoring
  • Lactation support
• Must be comfortable working the full LDRP model of care

Required Certifications

• RN License
• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum nursing care
• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
• Circulate and assist during C-sections
• Perform newborn assessments and routine newborn care
• Conduct heel sticks, newborn screenings, and NAS scoring
• Provide breastfeeding and lactation support
• Collaborate with OB physicians, pediatricians, lactation consultants, and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in Epic
• Float to regional facilities as needed within scope of practice
• Adhere to AWHONN staffing and patient care guidelines
• Deliver family-centered care while ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.
