Telemetry Registered Nurse

Number of Beds - 25

Number of Staff – 40+

Type of staff:

• Day Shift – 1 free charge, 1 UC, 2 PCTs, 5 RNs
• Night Shift – 5 RNS, 1 PCT

Patient Ratios – 6:1, sometimes 5:1

Type of equipment – Baxter IV Pumps, KCI wound vacs, SCD pumps

EMR - Meditech

Typical hiring profile:

Skill Set

Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have:

• BLS
• ACLS

Preferred or nice to have:

• Meditech experience
• Telemetry experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

• In addition to general med/surg competencies, it is preferred that applicants can
• Manage chest tubes
• Manage non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodorone drips
• Manage weight-based heparin drips
