Security Analyst

Location: Columbia, SC – 1801 Main Street Work Arrangement: Onsite Candidate must be local to South Carolina. Client is seeking a Security Analyst - Consultant to support day-to-day cybersecurity operations, network security monitoring, and security engineering initiatives. The role will investigate network alerts, assess firewall and infrastructure changes, analyze network traffic, and support security controls across on-premises and cloud environments. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and investigate network security alerts and threats. Support routing, switching, firewall, IDS/IPS, and network security operations. Analyze logs, network traffic, and security telemetry. Perform network security assessments and firewall rule reviews. Support vulnerability scanning and network auditing. Assist with cloud and on-premises security projects. Support compliance with NIST, HIPAA, FISMA, ARC-AMPE, and SCDIS-200. Work with technical teams to implement security controls. Required: 3–5 years of network design, implementation, or support experience. Hands-on IT security or system administration experience. Knowledge of secure network design, firewalls, routing/switching, and network monitoring. Experience analyzing logs, alerts, and network telemetry.
