ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintain the maintenance facility, inside and out, in a clean and safe condition for an efficient and safe work environment for mechanics and all staff so as to meet OSHA, DHEC, and Town of Hilton Head Fire Department
- Order parts and materials needed to repair equipment in accordance with financial procedures dictated by the Manager, Equipment Maintenance.
- Schedule work load in a priority manner of importance. Priority will be decided with Golf Course Superintendent, along with the Manager of Equipment Maintenance.
- Record and document all work performed on equipment in an orderly arrangement so as to be able to file in a filing system.
- Be responsible for inventory of parts, tools and materials used within the golf maintenance shop facility.
- Maintain gas and fuel tanks.
- Ensure that equipment maintenance is provided on weekends and holidays.
- Ensure that all safety devices are in place and in operation.
- Responsible for small engine repair: flymo and weedeaters.
- Ensure that all reels are sharpened and properly maintained as directed by the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor.
- Work whatever hours are necessary to properly maintain equipment for every-day tasks.
