Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 52 Weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Must have a valid state license Certifications: RRT, BLS, NRP required Must-Have: - Level 4 NICU experience - Cardiac PICU experience preferred - Experience with high-risk deliveries - Competence in the use of specific respiratory equipment Description: The Respiratory Therapist will work in a specialized unit focused on caring for patients in the NICU and PICU. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in high-risk neonatal and pediatric care. Strong communication and critical thinking skills are essential. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care. Additional responsibilities include working with various pediatric diagnoses and conducting necessary respiratory interventions. The position may include working in all units of the facility as required. Applicants should be prepared to handle holiday shifts as designated. The facility offers a self-scheduling model, which may accommodate specific scheduling requests but does not guarantee preferred hours. Knowledge of specialized respiratory procedures, including but not limited to, aerosol therapy, intubation assistance, and tracheostomy care, is required. Candidates should be comfortable with a range of respiratory equipment and technologies used in critical care settings.
