IMEG is hiring an Electrical Engineering New Graduate in Broomall, PA to support the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings. This entry-level role offers hands-on design, analysis, and project execution experience, with mentorship, training, and opportunities to grow your expertise from day one. You will support project planning, client communication, design documentation, and multidisciplinary coordination while working within project budgets and timelines. This role supports hospitality, mixed-use, and broader MEP projects, advancing high-performance, energy-efficient design aligned with MEP2050 and AIA2030. At a Glance Location: Broomall, PA Discipline: Electrical Markets: Hospitality; Mixed Use; MEP Ownership: 100% employee-owned (ESOP) Travel: Up to 5% Work Schedule: Full-time hybrid Sponsorship: Not available What You'll Do Assist in the design and analysis of electrical systems, creating detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards. Interact with clients to understand needs, gather project requirements, communicate technical information, and build professional relationships. Support the execution of consulting projects as part of a project team. Assist with project planning, scheduling, and design-progress tracking to help meet deadlines and objectives. Document design decisions and client instructions throughout the project. Analyze low to medium complexity engineering tasks and collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions. Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering, and contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG. Work within the project’s monetary budget and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work and identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with electrical systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals. What You'll Bring Required Education and Experience Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required Engineering in Training (EIT) or equivalent required Skills and Abilities Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of principles relating to circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems design for buildings Knowledge of industry standard engineering software and tools, including lighting photometric calculation software such as AGI, Elum Tools, Visual Lighting, or other; energy compliance software such as ComCheck; and familiar use of Adobe or Bluebeam Revu Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges Basic knowledge in the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays Preferred Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred Engineering in Training (EIT) License preferred Physical Requirements Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 Pounds Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises About the Team Gaming-and-hospitality-heavy MEP/FP team with especially strong casino/resort renovation, refresh, and systems-upgrade work, much of it concentrated in Atlantic City and other major gaming markets. This team is centered on gaming, hospitality, and mixed-use MEP/FP work, with a strong renovation and operational-upgrade profile across Gaming & Entertainment, Commercial, Hospitality, Housing, Education, Healthcare, and Government work. Frequent project types include guestroom and corridor renovations, casino floor reconfigurations, restaurant and amenity refreshes, signage and lighting packages, central plant, chiller, AHU, boiler, and generator upgrades, electrical studies, infrastructure improvements, and select security, telecom, AV, and acoustic coordination on broader fit-out work. Recent work includes Hard Rock Atlantic City North Tower Guestrooms & Corridor Renovations, Gaming/Hospitality; Rivers PHL Marketplace Renovations, Gaming/Hospitality; and One Liberty Place Chiller Plant Upgrade, Commercial.
