Position: Radiologic Technologist II

Reports To: Clinic Manager / Lead Technologist
Under the direction of the Clinic Manager or Lead Technologist, the Radiologic Technologist II is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring maximum radiation safety. This role requires a high level of technical expertise in operating Digital Radiography (DR) equipment and managing clinical workflows within a PACS environment. The Technologist II serves as a mentor to junior staff and ensures all imaging meets the diagnostic standards of the medical staff.

• None (May provide technical guidance to Level I Technologists)

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Operates advanced Digital Radiography (DR) equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images according to physician orders.
• Prepares and positions patients accurately for procedures while implementing strict radiation safety protocols (ALARA) to protect patients and staff.
• Manages the end-to-end digital workflow, including checking images for clarity and transmitting studies to PACS for physician review.
• Performs routine quality control checks and calibrations on radiographic units to ensure compliance with state and federal standards.
• Maintains a clean, organized clinical environment and ensures emergency equipment, such as AEDs and oxygen, is regularly verified.
• Monitors and manages radiographic supply inventory to ensure uninterrupted clinic operations.

• Strong technical aptitude to identify equipment malfunctions and coordinate necessary repairs.
• Ability to handle sensitive patient health information with absolute confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Neat, professional appearance.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
Education and Experience:
• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology from an ARRT-accredited program required.
• Minimum one to three years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in Radiography (R) required.
• Current Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License (RTL) required.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of standing and moving within the clinical area.
• Must be able to safely lift, move, and position patients for specialized procedures.
• Frequent reaching, stooping, and bending.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
