PLAYROOM ASSOCIATE -  Fall Evenings and Weekends

Shifts Available:

Weekday Evenings

Weekend Day Shift

The Playroom Associate watches children 8 weeks to 10 years old.  The perfect candidate must be patient, reliable, trustworthy and flexible.  Must be a self-starter and professional in order to address child-related needs and issues in a proactive manner. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow procedures and adhere to policies regarding safety, emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
• Communicate with the Guest Relations Supervisor and Playroom Lead: This includes answering emails and texts in a timely manner and following protocol for schedule changes.
• Maintain a clean work environment.

• Must be able to handle the basics of infant and childcare, prepare safe and fun activities, deal with difficult situations and handle emergencies.

• Work 2-3 shifts per week.

QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be at least age 16.
• Must have previous babysitting experience
• Must be CPR certified or willing to be trained to perform CPR and First Aid.
• Must secure FBI, Child Abuse and Criminal History Clearances.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing in the English Language
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents colleagues, the Township, and the general public.

Education and Experience

• Experience showing strong organizational and communication skills.

  EQUIPMENT USED

• Membership automation system; personal computer including word processing and database management software; copy and fax machines; 2-way radio, overhead speaker system, calculator; phone.

• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
