Surgical Technologist Location: Herrin, Illinois
Pay Rate: $1,900 To $2,130/week
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM, 4 days per week with rotating day off; call includes 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days per month
Experience: Minimum 2 years required
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Herrin, Illinois. This role is ideal for an OR professional with strong experience in operating room setup, sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, patient positioning, and supporting surgeons during procedures.
Responsibilities
• Prepare the operating room, instruments, tables, and sterile supplies for surgical procedures
• Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, draping, gowning, and gloving
• Pass instruments, sutures, and supplies to the surgeon during procedures
• Maintain accurate counts of instruments, sutures, and sponges
• Support specimen handling, dressings, instrument cleaning, room turnover, and supply restocking
Requirements
• Active Illinois License Or Applicable State Credential Required
• Minimum 2 years of OR Technologist or Surgical Technologist experience required
• BLS/BCLS Certification Required
• EPIC experience required
• Graduate of an OR Technician program, approved training, military surgical tech training, or equivalent background required; NBSTSA or NCCT certification preferred
