Industrial Wastewater Operator

Seeking a Licensed Wastewater Operator for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Roseland, NJ. This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k! Salary is between $80,000 - $94,000 per year (based on experience) Responsibilities Operate and optimize physical, chemical, and biological treatment systems, including DAF, pH neutralization, equalization, and solids handling. Monitor daily water, softener, and cooling tower readings. Perform routine testing and coordinate required grab and composite sampling. Maintain logbooks, records, and data for monthly DMR reporting and NJDEP compliance. Adjust chemical feed rates based on wastewater conditions. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on pumps, blowers, valves, sensors, motors, and other equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime. Follow OSHA, LOTO, confined space, and all plant safety procedures. Qualifications Required: New Jersey Wastewater Treatment Operator License – Class N-1 or N-2. 3–5 years of industrial/manufacturing experience. Minimum 2 years of wastewater treatment experience; food/beverage manufacturing preferred. Knowledge of NJDEP regulations and industrial pretreatment requirements. Experience repairing/rebuilding pumps and replacing motors, valves, aerators, and filters. Ability to run and fit PVC and black piping. Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills. Microsoft Office experience preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to work in industrial and wastewater environments and outdoors in varying weather. Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
