GFA World's Apprenticeship Program

The GFA World's Apprenticeship is a six-month opportunity to serve at GFA World US International HQ in Wills Point, Texas. Apprentices live in an intentional Christian community while supporting global missions through administrative, creative, and operational roles that empower national workers in Asia and Africa.

This program is a six-month season set apart to grow in faith, develop a heart for global missions, and actively participate in reaching the unreached. Designed for those exploring future ministry or vocational calling, the apprenticeship equips participants for lifelong service while making an eternal impact.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve 35+ hours per week in a ministry department (communications, media, administration, events, IT, development, etc.)
• Support daily operations and ministry projects
• Participate in a weekly "Focus Day" centered on prayer, teaching, and spiritual growth
• Engage in daily rhythms of prayer and community life

Requirements

• A personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• 18+
• US citizenship required
• Adaptable and willing to serve in any area where the ministry needs support
• Attend community events throughout the week (church services, prayer times, etc.)

• Maintain a servant-hearted attitude toward fellow staff
• Provide encouragement and receive constructive feedback
• Adapt in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Attend scheduled times of prayer and community gatherings
• Participate in GFA community life and events
• Demonstrate a teachable, flexible, and team-oriented mindset

Since 1979, GFA World has been committed to serving the "least of these" in Asia and Africa, often in places where no one else is serving, so communities can experience the love of God for the first time. GFA supports national workers by sponsoring missionaries, caring for children, investing in community development, and providing aid to families in need and during times of disaster.

While the apprenticeship takes place at the U.S. home office, its impact reaches far beyond. Each apprentice plays a vital role in supporting national workers on the field by helping provide the resources, communication, and prayer needed for the Gospel to reach some of the most remote areas of the world.
