Gillmann Service is looking for HVAC Helper to join our team, supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the comfort and safety of our clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and foundational knowledge of mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Assist technicians with the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems.

Support troubleshooting efforts by helping diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues using hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters.

Prepare work sites by setting up necessary tools and materials; assist in reading schematics and HVAC design plans to ensure proper system setup.

Participate in system inspections and routine maintenance tasks to uphold optimal performance standards.

Assist with plumbing connections and electrical wiring as directed, ensuring compliance with safety standards and local codes.

Help with equipment troubleshooting and repairs by following detailed instructions from experienced technicians.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment; handle basic welding tasks when required for system repairs or modifications.

Support inventory management by tracking tools, parts, and supplies needed for various projects.

Adhere to safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and understanding of OSHA regulations.

Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during service visits and ensuring their questions are addressed professionally.
