Structural Engineer
South Jersey
A growing consulting engineering firm in South Jersey is seeking a Structural Engineer with experience in building envelope systems, forensic investigations, roof assessments, and waterproofing design. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected team that specializes in evaluating existing structures, diagnosing failures, and developing practical repair solutions for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform building envelope evaluations and condition assessments
- Conduct roof inspections and prepare assessment reports
- Investigate structural and moisture-related failures
- Develop repair and rehabilitation recommendations
- Design waterproofing and building envelope restoration solutions
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction documents
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project teams
- Support construction observation and quality assurance activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 4+ years of experience in building envelope consulting, forensic engineering, roofing, or waterproofing projects
- Experience performing field investigations and condition assessments
- Strong technical report writing skills
- Knowledge of building codes, roofing systems, façade systems, and waterproofing assemblies
- EIT or PE preferred
- Ability to travel to project sites throughout the region
