This is a geographically flexible role in the US with 10-20% travel. You'll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget and schedule. You may also provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinating work activities with other design and engineering professionals and the discipline lead. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will successfully deliver on the design, development, application, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems and products for industrial building Plumbing systems and components.As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Mechanical discipline for plumbing systems, codes, US national and international standards. In this role you will solve complex problems, take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions, and work independently with minimal guidance in only the most complex situations. You may lead a functional team or project and serve as a best practice and quality resource. You'll also have the chance to utilize your technical expertise mentoring junior team members to help your team discover what drives them, nurturing their purpose and guiding them forward. Your role keeps our company connected and we'll support you with what you need to be successful.Bring your creativity, ambitious spirit and extreme attention to detail, and we'll help you grow, pursue and fulfill what drives you – so we can deliver extraordinary solutions for a better tomorrow, together.Here's what you'll need:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical EngineeringAt least 10 years of practical application of mechanical engineering and plumbing design in complex industrial facilitiesProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseExtensive on-site field experience with the construction and installation of industrial plumbing systems and common trade practicesStrong communication skills both verbal and writtenStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teamsStrong comprehensive knowledge of International Plumbing Code (IPC)Ideally, you'll also have:Proficient working knowledge of Navisworks and some experience with Revit softwareForward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideasDisplayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge basePassion for buildings and constructionPreferred candidates will have prior experience with semiconductor, data center, cleanrooms, or other high tech industrial facilitiesPrior experience with plumbing codes outside the US and international construction projects is desiredOur health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
