Inova Saville Cancer Screening and Prevention Center is currently hiring experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses to support our patients Monday Friday, with no call or weekend requirements. The areas of service that OR RNs will be working on are GE, Urology, and in the future melanoma services.

Work Schedule: Full time, Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 7 am-3:30 pm (no holidays/weekends/overnights)

Inova Saville Cancer Screening and Prevention is a new state of the art Center with 4 Procedural Suites and 12 Pre-op/PACU Beds. Screenings completed at the center include EGDs, Colonoscopies, Bronchoscopies, Thoracentesis, Robotic EBUS, Cytoscopies, MRI Fusion Biopsies of the Prostate, Space OAR, and Fiducial Marker placement.

The Center is a fast-paced working environment that focuses on strong teamwork and patient safety. Currently operating in 2 rooms with 8-16 cases per day and will continue to expand to 30-40 cases daily later in the year. OR Registered Nurse Responsibilities:

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple, sometimes conflicting, data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships.
• Formulates individualized plans of care based upon assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
• Supports and empowers patients and families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions.
• Advocates for patients' rights from the patient/family perspective and provides counsel and acts as a resource to resolve issues.
• Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients/families and assists staff in assessing patients' learning needs.

OR Registered Nurse Requirements:

• Experience: Requires a minimum of 1 year of direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse
• Education: BSN or ADN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date
• License: Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
• Certification: Basic Life Support with American Heart Association
