Overview
Physical Therapist – General location Kealakekua, Hawaii, United States. This travel - temporary assignment begins on 10/05/2026 for 26 weeks and features a dayshift with some weekend coverage in an inpatient acute care setting. Weekly pay ranges from $1,853 to $1,923, with 36–40 hours per week and a flexible schedule. Note: If a permanent full-time PT is hired, the contract may be canceled with at least one month’s advance notice.

Responsibilities
- Perform PT evaluations for inpatients and develop treatment plans to support functional recovery
- Implement and monitor interventions such as mobility training, gait training, balance activities, and therapeutic modalities
- Reassess progress, adjust care plans, and document outcomes in the patient record
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support discharge planning and optimize patient function
- Maintain patient safety, adhere to infection control procedures, and protect patient privacy per regulations
- Educate patients and families on exercises, activities, and discharge instructions

Requirements
- Active physical therapy license in Hawaii (in good standing)
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent
- Ability to work in an inpatient acute care environment and adapt to a fast-paced setting
- Willingness to commit to a 26-week travel assignment with dayshift and weekend coverage
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; proficiency with electronic medical records
