Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Dental Assistant role based in Boca Raton, FL. The Dental Assistant will support dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing treatment rooms, organizing instruments, and assisting chairside throughout patient visits. Daily responsibilities include setting up and breaking down operatories, sterilizing and maintaining instruments and equipment, taking and documenting patient histories, and providing patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions. The role also involves scheduling support, updating patient records, managing clinical supplies, and ensuring compliance with infection control and safety protocols. The Dental Assistant will interact regularly with patients and team members, contributing to an efficient, friendly, and professional clinical environment. Qualifications Clinical support skills in Dental Assisting and Dentistry, including chairside assistance and familiarity with common dental procedures. Strong patient-focused skills in Dental Care and Oral Care, with the ability to educate and support patients before, during, and after treatment. Knowledge of Sterilization practices and infection control standards, with consistent attention to safety and cleanliness. Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with a professional, respectful approach to patients and colleagues. Ability to follow detailed clinical instructions, manage time well, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred. Current state-specific Dental Assistant certification or registration, if required by Florida regulations; radiography certification is a plus. Basic computer skills and comfort working with electronic health or dental record systems.
