Construction Engineering Representative - Neenah, WI

Benesch is seeking a Construction Representative to join our talented and growing Construction team in our Neenah, Wisconsin, office. As a Field Construction Representative, you will oversee the construction operations of various transportation projects to ensure day-to-day activities are consistent with the plans and specifications. You will collaborate with contractors and state/municipal governmental agency representatives to review and provide input and serve as an advisor throughout the construction process by attending pre-construction and progress meetings and preparing and presenting status reports.

The ideal Construction Representative will have experience conducting topographic surveys, preparing erosion control & grading plans, and valid Construction Site Management, Erosion & Sediment Control, or Concrete Inspection certifications.

What you will do:

• Perform construction observation of construction activities, including maintaining a field book in accordance with project procedures
• Prepare Inspector's Daily Reports and other project documentation as required by the project procedures and as directed by the project supervisor.
• Report to the project supervisor on the progress of work, including technical issues, the status of work remaining to be done, and any noted deficiencies
• Comply with all project and company safety guidelines, reviewing plans, specifications, and submittals relating to assigned work
• Provide design or other professional assistance to project managers as assigned

What you will need:

• BS in Civil or Construction Management/Engineering or in a related engineering curriculum required
• Experience working on field projects, specifically with WisDOT, is desired
• Experience utilizing ArcGIS, Microstation, Geopak, and/or AutoCAD is desired
• Strong verbal/written communication, organization, and ability to perform services efficiently and within budgets and schedules
• Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
• A valid driver's license and a good driving record required #LI-MM1
