Job Location: Waco, TX 76710

Job Type: Full-time

Pay/Salary: $18.50 per hour -pay increase after 90 days

Hours of Work: M-F 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Band Saw Operator to join a Waco area manufacturer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating band saws to cut materials to precise specications, ensuring quality and eciency in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate band saw machinery to cut materials according to work orders and blueprints.
Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, ensuring accurate dimensions.
Inspect materials for defects before and after cutting to maintain quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on band saw equipment.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Requirements:

Previous experience operating band saws or similar machinery.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and use measuring tools (e.g., tape measures, calipers).
Proficiency with basic math skils
Knowledge in carpentry is a plus
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Physical ability to stand, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
Familiarity with workplace safety practices.

Preferred Qualications:

Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
