Pay/Salary: $18.50 per hour -pay increase after 90 days
Hours of Work: M-F 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and reliable Band Saw Operator to join a Waco area manufacturer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating band saws to cut materials to precise specications, ensuring quality and eciency in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate band saw machinery to cut materials according to work orders and blueprints.
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, ensuring accurate dimensions.
- Inspect materials for defects before and after cutting to maintain quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on band saw equipment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Previous experience operating band saws or similar machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and use measuring tools (e.g., tape measures, calipers).
- Proficiency with basic math skils
- Knowledge in carpentry is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical ability to stand, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with workplace safety practices.
- Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
