PrimaryOne Health is currently seeking a Referral Specialist for our Columbus health center. Essential Job Responsibilities: Serves as the point of contact for patients to make requests for scheduling of follow-up appointments within PrimaryOne Health centers, as well as external affiliates. Identifies and utilizes cultural and community resources. Establishes and maintains relationships with identified service providers. Stays current on insurance company policies and procedures, and any changes as applicable to prior authorization and/or organizations that are considered in-network and are accepting referrals. Serves an an available point of contact for any difficult/hard-to-place referrals. Utilizes internal software and telephone system to enter or retrieve data related to the referral/scheduling of appointments. Other duties or special projects as assigned. Successful candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent with some college preferred. Experience in referrals, insurance providers, and in a direct provider support role.
