As a Security Officer Patrol in Christiansburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for shoppers and team members while documenting observations and working collaboratively with site personnel. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $15.75 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, stockroom areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, reporting concerns according to site-specific procedures. Document incidents, patrol observations, and policy violations accurately, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership. Minimum Requirements: Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Possession of a guard card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
