Certification Requirements Must hold a valid certification as an Occupational Therapist (OT) from an accredited program. Current membership in the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) is preferred. Additional specialized certifications and training are a plus. State License Requirements A current and valid state license to practice Occupational Therapy is mandatory. Ability to obtain and maintain licensure in compliance with state regulations. Knowledge of state-specific Occupational Therapy regulations and requirements. Responsibilities Conducting thorough assessments of patients' functional abilities and limitations. Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to address patients' needs and goals. Evaluating the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and adjusting plans accordingly. Providing education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and home exercises. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
