Senior Behavioral Health Clinician (2932) - Citywide - H00041

The San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH) protects and promotes the health of all San Franciscans, working across hospitals, clinics, programs, and offices. Responsibilities Supervise behavioral health clinicians and unlicensed support personnel, preparing schedules, performance appraisals, and coordinating multidisciplinary team activities. Supervise psychosocial assessment of clients and patients, ensuring appropriate referrals and preparing care summaries. Conduct clinical evaluations of difficult individual cases, including interviewing, diagnosing, and disposition, and refer to additional staff or disciplines as needed. Apply intensive casework and psychotherapy techniques for complex cases, monitoring client condition, safety, and treatment goals. Conduct group psychotherapy and case management on a scheduled basis, evaluating changes and determining treatment goals at intervals. Ensure accurate charting of medical records in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards. Organize community health education outreach, develop workshops and seminars, and consult with agencies to negotiate and develop outreach services. Perform quality‑improvement activities such as chart audit and compliance review. Perform related duties as required. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Possession of a valid license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Two (2) years of verifiable experience as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
